I’m Jessica Bruno—an educator, mother, and the founder of The Kind Corner. I’ve spent much of my life thinking about how children learn and trying to understand what makes them light up with curiosity and joy. Over time, I’ve come to believe that learning is never just about skills or outcomes. It’s about the whole child—their curiosity, their confidence, their relationships, and the environments that help them feel safe enough to explore and grow. That belief is at the heart of The Kind Corner. The idea for a book exchange grew out of a mix of things: my love of children’s literature, a deep belief in holistic learning, and some very real frustrations in my own life trying to find the right books for children. There are endless books in the world, but what matters most is finding the ones that truly connect with a particular child—the stories that spark imagination, invite questions, and make them want to keep reading. I also believe books are meant to move. A story that has been loved by one child can still hold so much life for another. The Kind Corner Book Bundle were created as a thoughtful way to connect children with meaningful books while allowing those stories to continue their journey from one family to the next. At its heart, Kind Corner is about nurturing a love of reading, honoring childhood, and creating small moments where curiosity and joy can grow.
